DON QUIXOTE
What things? ¿Cuáles cosas?

ALDONZA
These ridiculous... the things you do! / Las cosas ridículas... que tu haces

DON QUIXOTE
I hope to add some measure of grace to the world. /Quisiera agregar cierta dosis de encanto al mundo

ALDONZA
The world's a dung heap and we are maggots that crawl on it! / El mundo

My Lady knows better in her heart. / Mi doncella sabe en su corazón que

Hay algo más noble que aquello

ALDONZA
What's in my heart will get me halfway to hell. / Lo que llevo en mi corazón me llevará de seguro a la mitad del Infierno
And you, Se�or Don Quixote-you're going to take
such a beating! / Y Ud. Mi señor Quijote, le darán una gran paliza

DON QUIXOTE
Whether I win or lose does not matter. / Si gano o pierdo no me importa.

ALDONZA
What does? / Y ¿que le importa entonces?

DON QUIXOTE
Only that I follow the quest. / Solo el seguir con la búsqueda.

ALDONZA
(spits) ( escupe)
That for your Quest! / Eso me vale para mí su busqueda
(turns, marches away; stops, turns bock
and asks, awkwardly) / Se da vuelta, se retira, se detiene, se devuelve y pregunta extrañada
What does that mean... quest? / Qué significa ¿busqueda?

DON QUIXOTE
It is the mission of each true knight... / Es la misión del verdadero caballero
His duty... nay, his privilege! / Su deber...no, su privilegio
To dream the impossible dream, / El soñar su sueño imposible
To fight the unbeatable foe, / Luchar contra el enemigo imbatible
To bear with unbearable sorrow / Sobrellevar el sufrimiento indecible
To run where the brave dare not go; /Correr hacia donde los valientes no corren
To right the unrightable wrong. / Enderezar el perverso mal.

To love, pure and chaste, from afar, / Amar, puro y casto desde lejos
To try, when your arms are too weary, / Esforzarse cuando tus brazos desfallecen
To reach the unreachable star! / Alcanzar la estrella inalcanzable.

This is my Quest to follow that star, / Esta es mi búsqueda, el seguir esa estrella
No matter how hopeless, no matter how far, / No importa el costo, no importa cuán lejos
To fight for the right / Luchar por el bien
Without question or pause, / Sin dudar ni descanso
To be willing to march into hell / Estar disponible para marchar al infierno
For a heavenly cause! / Por una causa divina

And I know, if I'll only be true / Y conozco que si soy verdadero
To this glorious Quest, / Con esta sagrada búsqueda
That my heart will lie peaceful and calm /Que mi corazón estará en paz y calmado
When I'm laid to my rest. / Cuando finalmente suspire en mi lecho final

And the world will be better for this, / Y el mundo será por ello mejor
That one man, scorned and covered with scars, / Que un hombre injuriado y denigrado, lleno de heridas
Still strove, with his last ounce of courage, / Aun luchó con su ultimo gramo de coraje
To reach the unreachable stars! / Para alcanzar la estrella inalcanzable.
